we can provide the kind of personalized service that the big
stations just don't offer. In recent years the monitoring
stations owned by Victoria Alarms and Alarmgard were purchased
(by ADT and Voxcom) and  subsequently
moved out of province, leaving little choice for those looking
for a smaller, local alternative.
So
how is it that we can provide superior service and maintain
Victoria's lowest monitoring rates? It's simple, we don't
install "free" alarm systems. Companies like ADT,
Voxcom, and Price's attract new clients by offering "free"
alarm installations and then charging high monitoring rates
to cover their losses. By avoiding this type of marketing
we can pass on the savings to our customers. Please

Why
do other alarm companies ask you to sign a long term contract
for monitoring services? Well, if they’ve just “given”
you a “free” alarm system there is a valid reason.
What they’re really asking you to sign is an agreement
to pay for your alarm system over the next 3 years. But why
do they continue to force clients to sign long term contracts
after their system has been paid for? There are really only
3 possible reasons that we can see;
1 – They have no confidence in the services they provide.
If your company produces a high level of customer dissatisfaction
then it is wise to make it hard for clients to leave. Our
philosophy is a little different. We believe that allowing
our clients to cancel their service at any time forces us
to stay on our toes and focus on providing the best customer
service we can.
2 – Their rates are too high. They know that their monitoring
rates are high and that sooner or later you’ll find out
about it. The contract you sign locks you into that high rate
for 3 years or more. Maybe if you complain enough they’ll
give you a break when your contact is up. Of course they’ll
force you to sign a new long term contract at the “discounted”
rate.
3 – They may want to sell your account. Unfortunately,
most alarm companies have little loyalty to their customers.
Customers are bought, sold and traded throughout the industry.
They are moved from station to station and city to city without
their consent and often without their knowledge. When your
alarm company sells you off to the highest bidder there are
two things that determine the selling price; the length of
your contract and the monthly rate you pay.
At
